Grandma and Grandpa Noble sent us an Easter package early this year. We got it just over a week early. In the package, the kids found bunnies for each of them, candy for them, and candy for mommy and daddy! David was so excited to receive a package in the mail. He was even more excited to have a soft bunny from Grandma. I found him cuddling with his new bunny from Grandma while watching Disney Junior later that day. It was one of the most precious things I have ever seen!

Because Grandma and Grandpa Noble sent the package early, David just couldn't wait for Easter. It was difficult for this 3 year old mind to comprehend waiting for Easter bunny. The only option was to make a paper chain to help him count down to Easter.

You can see he was only going to have to wait almost 5 days, but those five days were going to be a nightmare if he kept asking me when the Easter Bunny was coming or even better yet, if the Easter Bunny had come already.

Then we hung the chain in a visible place so that David could tear off a link every day until Easter.

It is a family tradition to color Easter eggs the week before Easter. So after dinner and bath time, we dressed the kids up in daddy's paint shirts and let them color eggs.

"Who wants an Egg?" Hannah: I DOOOOOO!

Mommy takes all the pictures and daddy helps the kid color eggs!

Hannah is sure becoming our Miss Independent! She could hardly stand my assistance.

We would only let her put in her eggs and take them out. Then we would take the dye off her highchair tray. That always made her really mad.

"Hey! It's GREEN! My favorite COLOR!"

David was so proud of all his eggs. He just couldn't resist taking them out too early. We had a lot of pale eggs! That is ok...the end result isn't really all that important. Just creating the memories of coloring eggs is all I really care about.

As you see, that green egg was just too tempting! It didn't last very long, that is for sure.

David loves boiled eggs!

Andrew is such a good sport. He heat wrapped all the eggs for David so that he could have basketball and football eggs. The plain eggs just aren't as fun I guess!
